Lions Club Tube Rental

What a perfect way to float your cares away... bring the family, gather the old college pals, or plan a romantic tube trip for just the two of you!

To paraphrase that old potato chip commercial, "We betcha can't float just once!"

The Tube Rental and River Taxi are the major fund-raising projects of the San Marcos Lions Club. The San Marcos Lions Club Tube Rental started during the 1970’s with an old cattle truck, portable air compressor, some recycled automotive tube, and a bunch of volunteers.

A venture that started out with 20-40 tube rentals a day has grown to 800-850 rentals a day, making this program the single largest fundraising event by the San Marcos Area Lions Club which allows the Lions Club to donate to over 100 charities and individuals in the San Marcos area.

All tube rentals must include a taxi ride. The float trip takes about an hour to an hour and a half and is a fun way to kick back and enjoy the good life!

Please bring a photo ID (School ID or Drivers License) to rent tubes. ($20.00 deposit per tube required)

For folks who bring their own tubes, shuttle service is available from Rio Vista Dam back to the Tube Rental. $4 per person ($5 for oversized tubes)

The Tube Rental is located in the City Park.
