Kayaks, canoes and tubes are the favorite mode of transportation down stream on the beautiful San Marcos River – with river taxi service back to where you start.
If your idea of relaxing is a little slower, golf might be the ticket for you at one of the local courses or you can just hit a few balls at the driving range. And bowling or a movie is family fun in any sort of weather.
Locals and visitors alike enjoy our 1,200 acres of parkland during our nearly year-round sunshine. San Marcos’ sports fields, diamonds and courts come alive every weekend with a bevy of youth sports, and they are as much fun to watch as to participate in.
Depending on the season, we are sure to have a home collegiate game happening in one of the NCAA sports! Come out and cheer for the home team - it’s always a great day to be a Texas State Bobcat!
