    Gary Softball Complex

    The complex consists of 8 fields. The complex is currently used to host adult leagues on week nights from March through December. The complex is also available for weekend rentals and practices.

    Rental Fees: (as of Sept 2014)

    Practices: Youth - $20 per hr, Adults - $30 per hr    Lights: $15 per hr

    Tournaments: $200 deposit. $75 per field for residents, $150 per field for non-residents. Lights: f $15 per hr.

    * The City softball program is affiliated with Texas ASA. We recommend that all tournament rentals also be sanctioned by ASA, but it is not mandatory. However, if the event is affiliated with another organization, it must be insured equivalent to insurance obtained through ASA and must list the City as San Marcos as being covered.


    Complex Lottery: A complex Lottery is held the second Saturday in December for all weekend dates the following year. A $200 deposit per event must be presented the day of the lottery.

    Blanco Shoals

    81 acres, Blanco Shoals is west of the Blanco River and near the bridge at IH35. This unique natural area will remain completely undeveloped except for a few trails to be built in the future. It contains high bank bluffs and shoals, tall cottonwoods and sycamores, gigantic pecan, and mesquite.

    Commemorative Air Force Exhibit

    Housed in a 1943 vintage wooden hangar, the Central Texas Wing is home to airworthy historic military warbirds including a B-25 Mitchell Bomber (Yellow Rose), the only flying Bell P-39 fighter plane in the western hemisphere (Miss Connie), a newly restored C-45 (Lone Star Lady) and other extraordinary aircraft.
