February 14 & 15 - Guadalupe Valley Dog Fanciers Show - An AKC licensed All Breed and Junior Showmanship Event to be held at the Hays County Civic Center. Free family event. Please no baby strollers. April 3 - 5 - Springs Fest 2009 - The Third Annual Springs Fest at Rio Vista Park will bring together paddling enthusiasts, competitors, and the City of San Marcos to celebrate the Springs and paddling in the Texas Hill Country! April 4 - Youthfest - The 6th annual celebration of kids and arts will feature music, dancing, poetry reading, arts and crafts activities such as mask making, painting and paper mache. May 2 & 3 - Heritage Home Tours/Tours of Distinction - 2009 marks the 34th anniversary of the Heritage Association's Historic Home Tours. Tours are conducted by Heritage Association docents, many of them in costume and all of them knowledgeable about the rich history of the area.
