Javi (Patrick Mackie), lives & works in the fields of South Texas with his grandfather Arturo (Hector Uribe, NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN). Secretly, Javi plans on escaping South Texas with his Mexican girlfriend, Lorena (Mayra Leal, MACHETE). But when Arturo’s cancer takes a turn for the worse Javi’s plans are put on hold.
Desperate for money, Javi crosses into Mexico & meets with Lorena’s brother, Adelio (Adrian Gonzalez, VIDA, STARZ) an up & coming member of a cartel that offers Javi $10,000 to walk across the border wearing a cast made of cocaine - but there’s a catch. First they will break his arm.
For the sake of his grandfather, Javi resorts to the unthinkable. TEJANO becomes a story of survival, as Javi evades Border Patrol, swims the Rio Grande river & overcomes the border wall only to find out that the cartel has different plans for him.
In a series of thrilling & action-packed scenes Javi fights his way back home to reunite with Arturo. Armed with a hunting rifle & a few pistols, grandfather & grandson bravely defend their home in an explosive shootout with the cartel.
