Hamlet

Performing Arts Center at Texas State University

The retelling of Shakespeare’s timeless tragedy, Hamlet. Set in Denmark, the play dramatizes the revenge Prince Hamlet is called to wreak upon his uncle, Claudius, by the ghost of Hamlet's father, King Hamlet. Claudius had murdered his own brother and seized the throne, also marrying his deceased brother's widow. “To be or not to be,” will be answered by the end of the play.

DR. KEITH WINKING has presented solo and ensemble concerts and clinics throughout the United States and across the world. He is a freelance trumpet player, performing with many local and national groups, including the Austin Symphony, the Austin Jazz Orchestra, James Brown, the Manhattan Transfer, and the Austin Sinfonietta. He has extensive recording experience and has recorded national jingles for McDonalds and American Express.
