The Triathlon is a 500 meter Swim, 12 mile Bike, and 5k Run.

The Duathlon is part of the Championship series this year and is 5k run 12 mile Bike and 5k run.

The Swim/Ride is a 500 meter Swim, 12 mile Bike.

The Swim/Run is a 500 meter Swim and 5k Run.

The last 2 event choices take care of those that don’t want to run or don’t want to bike: 5k run or 10k run.

SWIM

You are swimming in a springs area, you can see the bottom, but don’t touch. NO WALKING ON THE BOTTOM OR SIDES OF THE AREA. You must swim straight down the middle and get out where others are waiting to help you get out. Once out do not go back in the water, remember it is protected.

BIKE

The bike course is a very nice 12 mile out and back course that has rolling hills. It is a good, short ride.

RUN

The 5k run starts at the transition area and goes along the main road and into a hilly, shady neighborhood, you leave that neighborhood and run on hard gravel packed trail for about 1/2 mile until you hit the street and go to the finish.

10k runners will just do this course twice, you will loop around the transition area and go again. Everyone is envious of the 10k runners because you get to do a special run twice.
