Spring Break Shopping

March 10, 2017

The sun is shining, the weather is heating up and Spring Break is officially underway! In our opinion, there’s no better time to embrace the impending heat and stock up on your warm weather staples. Check out our list below for San Marcos Spring Break must-shop spots – your perfect shopping guide!

San Marcos Outlet Malls

When visiting both the San Marcos Premium Outlet and Tanger Outlet, we suggest bringing your most comfortable shoes and clothes. With more than 250 stores and 1.2 million square feet of shopping heaven, you’re going to want to make the most out of your day of shopping.

San Marcos Premium Outlets

Get your Spring Break started right with a trip to the San Marcos Premium Outlets. With name brands like Tommy Bahama, J.Crew Factory, Ralph Lauren Polo, Vineyard Vines, GAP and Nike, there’s a good chance you’ll need to make several trips to the car to drop off your new purchases. You certainly won’t want to miss shopping at Gucci, Prada, Ugg, Salvatore Ferragamo and Lululemon – their only outlet location in Texas! Refuel with a pretzel at Auntie Anne’s or have a sit-down lunch at Johnny Rockets before continuing on your San Marcos shopping adventure!

Tanger Outlets

There’s no way to resist the temptation that is the Tanger Outlets. With stores like LOFT Outlet, Old Navy, Tommy Hilfiger, H&M, American Eagle, Pacsun and Aerie, you’re sure to find something for everyone. This is the perfect opportunity to buy yourself a new swimsuit, or two, for all of your upcoming fun in the sun! For a fun pick-me-up treat, head to the Beef Jerky Outlet. They have zany and exotic options, along with more traditional flavors, for the jerky connoisseur.

Out And About

If you’re looking for a boutique shopping experience near the San Marcos Outlet Malls, check out Two P’s & Calli’s and Centerpoint Station! Both are conveniently located across IH 35 from the malls and boast a great selection of women’s apparel and accessories. Centerpoint Station is also a great place to grab a bite to eat and take a load off for a bit.

Downtown San Marcos

Looking to avoid the crowds? Shop like a local with a trip to downtown San Marcos. River Rose Boutique, Paper Bear, Barefoot Outfitters, Hays County Outfitters and San Marvelous are all great stores that embody the San Marcos lifestyle! Looking for a good thrift find? Vagabond and KnD’s have you covered there. Treat yourself to an ice cream cone at Rhea’s – a true downtown San Marcos staple with both traditional and eclectic flavors.

Once you’ve made your San Marcos shopping rounds, soak in the sweet sight of victory of a trunk full of shopping bags. You came, you shopped, you conquered and now to the victor the spoils. Until next time…
