If you want to avoid the mass chaos of Black Friday madness and want to enjoy a more laid back holiday shopping SMTXperience, you should check out Art In The Alley… From 10am to 4pm, the Price Center will have more than 20 local artists selling their wares in an outdoor market setting. No long lines, no crowded stores, just local art and fresh air.

Stop by Zelicks Ice House from 3-9pm for a local market featuring some of our wonderful small business owners and artisans, and maybe a beer, for a truly San Marvelous shopping experience!
DuBois Gallery 11
Some of the area’s best artists come together to create the DuBois Gallery 11 pop-up art event at the Price Center from 5-9pm. Enjoy complimentary hors d’oeuvres and wine while immersing yourself in local fine art.
Taking place in downtown San Marcos on the Hays County Courthouse lawn, the Art Squared Arts Market is a creative hub buzzing with local artists of all kinds. Roam from booth to booth, enjoying live music as you peruse, from 9am – 4pm. Art Squared features artists working in ceramics, glass, graphics/printmaking, metalwork, photography, wood, drawing, pastels, jewelry (ornamental, costume and precious metals, sculpture, fiber (both textiles and wearables), leather, painting, upcycle,
recycle and mixed medias of all kind.
Eye of the Dog Studio Artists Holiday Sale
Come on out to Eye of the Dog Art Center for this great indoor studio artist sale. The eclectic setting is a fun place to find some eclectic gifts for loved ones. Enjoy some refreshments a la “da dog” in a relaxed atmosphere – the perfect way to spend a Saturday in our opinion.
The Artisan Market, taking place at Splash Co-Working from 12pm-5pm, is a great place to see many artists in one location. With more than 10 selected artisans, there bound to be a lot of fantastic artwork of many different mediums.
Third Thursday Walkabout
Enjoy a leisurely evening (6-9pm) in San Marcos’ historic downtown during the Third Thursday Walkabout. Many downtown boutiques, restaurants and art galleries stay open for longer hours during the Walkabout, giving you have plenty of time to shop and enjoy. San Marcos Art League artists display their artwork along the sidewalk, you’ll never know what unique find you may stumble upon!
