San Marcos Like a Local
With summer in full swing, and with many rushing to the outlets, the local food truck community has found a new batch of hungry patrons to feed. The Local Smoke trailer is one of several food trucks that have recently opened up at the outdoor Food Truck Plaza at Tanger Outlets in San Marcos.
Yako-na is a pure cinema film, a visual journey imagined from the perspective of the San Marcos river, and what it has seen over time. This film takes viewers on a visual journey through the crystal clear waters of the San Marcos River, starting with its headwaters at Spring Lake. The trip ends at the shrimping village of Seadrift on the Texas coast.
Art UnHitched will highlight Terry Marie Jordan as the featured artist for the June Art Market on Saturday, June 8 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
For nearly forty years, Kent Finlay’s Cheatham Street Warehouse has served as a hub for live country music in San Marcos. Having served as the launching pads for legends like George Strait and Stevie Ray Vaughan, the local honky tonk continues to foster the work of many local artists through a host of regular performances and special events.
