San Marcos is a beautiful, wonderful place with lots to see and do and we want everyone who visits has a fantastic time exploring, however, our first duty is to make sure your SMTXperience is a safe one. The San Marcos area has needed to make some adjustments due to COVID-19, so in order to keep everyone healthy, your summer visit may look a little different than planned.
There are several ways to commemorate Juneteenth here in San Marcos! Take part in a virtual 5k in the morning, connect and learn from nature with a plant walk and then celebrate with a wonderful lineup of art, education and community with a virtual celebration. The end of slavery in the United States has been celebrated since 1865.
Whether exploring San Marcos in-the-flesh or through a screen, the sights and colors of San Marcos are one of the most unique parts of the city! Here are a few of our suggestions for adding some San Marcos flair to your day.
Of course San Marcos is a great place for people, but did you know it’s also a great place for pets, too! From a hike through the Hill Country to a dip in the San Marcos River, and of course lots of delicious food and craft beer in between, San Marcos is a must-visit for anyone wanting to pamper their pup.
